You leave Kampala in the morning and begin your journey toward Kibale Forest National Park. The drive takes you through changing landscapes, from busy towns to open countryside and green hills.

Along the way, you pass tea plantations and crater lakes, offering a clear introduction to western Uganda’s scenery. After arrival, you take a short visit to the crater lakes area, where the environment feels calm and scenic.

You check into your lodge in the evening, surrounded by forest and quiet surroundings.

After the trek, you return for lunch and begin your transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park. The drive is smooth, and the landscape gradually changes into open savannah.

After an early breakfast, you head to the park headquarters for a briefing before starting your gorilla trekking experience. The trek takes you through dense forest, guided by rangers and trackers.

The walk can take time depending on the location of the gorillas, but the experience builds as you move deeper into the forest. When you find them, everything slows down. You spend time observing their behavior in a natural setting.

After the trek, you return to the lodge for rest. Later in the day, you visit the Batwa community, where you learn about their traditional way of life and connection to the forest.
