Zanzibar Coastal Escape

DAY 1: ARRIVE AT ZANZIBAR INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT.

Upon your arrival at Zanzibar International Airport, our tour guide driver will greet and welcome you, while helping carrying your luggage and transfer to your hotel for relaxation and overnight stay. If time permits, you might explore the nearby area, take a leisurely walk on the beach, or enjoy a drink at a local café. In the evening, you’ll have the opportunity to enjoy a welcome dinner at your hotel sampling some local Zanzibari cuisine.

DAY 2: PRISON ISLAND AND STONE TOWN WALKING TOUR.

After breakfast, embark on a relaxing trip to the enchanting Changuu Island, located northwest of Stone Town. A brief 20-minute boat ride will take you across the water to this historic island, once a refuge for rebellious slaves and now home to giant Aldabra tortoises brought from Seychelles in the late 19th century.

Enjoy a visit to the tortoise sanctuary, where you can interact closely with these magnificent creatures, feed them, and capture memorable photos. Explore the intriguing old prison building on the island as well.

Following your island adventure, delve into the rich heritage of Stone Town, Zanzibar’s cultural heart. Wander through its narrow, historic alleys and discover significant landmarks such as the House of Wonders, the Old Fort, the Sultan’s Palace, and Darajani Market. Immerse yourself in the vibrant cultural tapestry of this historic city.

DAY 3: FULL DAY BEACH RELAXING.

aSpend your day unwinding or swimming at the beautiful beach directly in front of the hotel. Enjoy the sun, sand, and sea, capturing memorable photos of your seaside experience. For those seeking additional adventures, you have the flexibility to arrange optional activities at an extra cost, ensuring a personalized and enriching beach day.

DAY 4: SAFARI BLUE FULL DAY TRIP

Begin your day with a delightful breakfast before heading to Unguja Ukuu for a full-day Safari Blue excursion. Set sail on a traditional dhow to immerse yourself in the vibrant marine ecosystem, relax on picturesque sandbanks, and swim in the stunning turquoise waters. Dive into the underwater world with snorkeling gear, discovering colorful coral reefs and diverse fish species. Next, visit Kwale Island to explore its natural beauty and savor a delectable seafood feast, including barbecue, prawns, calamari, and octopus. Indulge in exotic tropical fruits and local snacks. The adventure concludes around 4:30 PM, with a return transfer to your hotel.

DAY 5: MNEMBA SNORKELLING TOUR, MNARANI NATURAL AQUARIUM SWIMING WITH TURTLES;

Start your day with a trip to Nungwi on Zanzibar’s northern coast. Begin with an exhilarating snorkeling adventure at Mnemba Atoll, a pristine marine reserve off Zanzibar’s northeastern shore near Matemwe. Renowned for its crystal-clear waters and vibrant marine ecosystems, Mnemba Atoll offers an ideal snorkeling experience. Explore colorful coral reefs and encounter green turtles, playful dolphins, and, depending on the season, possibly migrating whale sharks and humpback whales. Dive sites such as Kichwani showcase diverse marine life including leaffish and frogfish, while Sand Banks may reveal eagle rays, seahorses, and batfish. The Aquarium dive site provides sightings of garden eels, white-tip reef sharks, and green turtles, and Wattabomi (Eel City) is known for its anthias, moray eels, and lionfish.

After snorkeling, visit the Mnarani Natural Aquarium in Nungwi. Here, enjoy a unique opportunity to swim with sea turtles in a natural lagoon. Feed the turtles with seaweed or observe them up close with a snorkeling mask, offering a memorable encounter with these magnificent creatures in their serene environment.

DAY: 6 DEPARTURE DAY

After completing the check-out procedure, you’ll be transferred from the hotel to Zanzibar International Airport. Ensure you arrive at the airport in accordance with the time specified on your flight tickets.
