8-Day Chimpanzee Trekking Safari & Zanzibar Beach Holiday

You will be picked up from your hotel in Zanzibar and transferred to the airport for your scheduled flight to Kigoma.

On arrival, you will be transferred to Ujiji village where you will visit Dr. Livingstone’s memorial then you will be taken to Kibirizi port for your boat to Gombe National Park. On arrival, you will be transferred to the rest house for a hot lunch before starting your chimpanzee trek tour to the rolling hills and lush landscapes of western Tanzania. Later, you will be back to your accommodation for dinner and an overnight stay.

After an early breakfast, we will make our way to the forest for trekking once again. Walking through forests, up hills, and into valleys, can be tiring and challenging, so come prepared for the trek.

Once we locate a group of chimps, we stop and spend some time with these gentle primates. Watch their world as they groom, feed, and interact with each other in their natural habitat. Coming face-to-face with a group of chimpanzees is one of the most special and rare wildlife encounters on earth.

Later, you will descend back to the camp for lunch before spending time at the beautiful beach of Lake Tanganyika, there after you will have dinner and overnight stay at reserved accommodation.

After breakfast, we start chimpanzee trekking in different valleys, walking in the forest, and visiting Kakombe Waterfall. At 12h00, you will return for lunch and then pack and transfer to Kigoma town by using boat. Arrive in the evening in time for dinner and overnight at the hotel at kigoma town.

After breakfast, spend some time at the hotel for relaxation and leisure. From here, we will transfer you to kigoma Airport for your air transfer to Zanzibar. Our driver in Zanzibar will be waiting for you at Zanzibar Airport for your private transfer to your hotel. Before reaching in a hotel you will begin a trip to Prison Island using a traditional dhow. Here, you will visit the historic Prison Island with its giant land tortoises, where you will be able to observe and feed the tortoises. Also, you will be able to swim and just relax on the beach.

Next tour is on Stone Town walking tour, where you will walk around the historical culture and architecture that is very important to the town of Zanzibar with a century of history. You will visit the former slave market site which now stands as an Anglican church. You will eat your lunch during the tour.

Later in the evening, you will be transferred to the Hotel for overnight.

You have a full 2 days to relax at the stunning beaches. Here you also have several tour options that you can add for an addition fee depending on your preference. May we interest you in a swim with turtles or a visit to Jozani Forest, or you prefer a massage on the beach or to visit different beaches such as nakupenda beach, Nungwi and others found in zanzibar island.

Enjoy the last few hours before you depart from the resort. We will pick you up at the hotel and transfer you to Zanzibar Airport, ready for your air transfer back home. The drop-off at the airport marks the end of our services.
