Tour Overview

This 5-Day Rwanda Primate Safari is designed for travelers who want to experience Rwanda’s most famous wildlife encounters in a short time. The tour combines chimpanzee trekking in Nyungwe Forest National Park and gorilla trekking in Volcanoes National Park.

These are two of the most exciting primate experiences in Africa. In fact, the 5-Day Rwanda Primate Safari is popular among visitors. They want to see both chimps and gorillas in one trip.

The journey begins in Kigali, Rwanda’s vibrant capital city, before heading to the ancient rainforest of Nyungwe. Here you will trek through dense jungle in search of wild chimpanzees, making the start of your experience truly memorable.

The safari then continues to Volcanoes National Park. This park is home to the endangered mountain gorillas of the Virunga Mountains. Additionally, the 5-Day Rwanda Primate Safari offers an incredible opportunity. You can witness gorillas in their natural habitat.

This Rwanda safari also offers beautiful scenic drives through the country’s famous “Land of a Thousand Hills”, passing tea plantations, local villages, and breathtaking landscapes.
