Tour Overview

This 14-day East Africa adventure is the “bucket list” trip of a lifetime. The 14 Day Kenya Tanzania & Zanzibar Safari takes you through multiple incredible destinations. We’ve carefully designed this itinerary to take you through the two most famous wildlife destinations on the planet: the Masai Mara in Kenya and the Serengeti in Tanzania.

You won’t just be watching nature from a distance; you’ll be right in the heart of the action. From tracking the Big Five (lion, leopard, elephant, buffalo, and rhino) across the golden savannahs to standing on the rim of the prehistoric Ngorongoro Crater, every day offers a new “pinch-me” moment. To finish, we trade the dusty safari trails for the paradise of Zanzibar Island, where white-sand beaches and turquoise waters provide the perfect end to your journey.

This is more than just a holidayit’s an immersion into the wild soul of Africa.

DAY 1

Nairobi to the Iconic Masai Mara

serengeti National Park Safari

Your adventure begins in Nairobi, Kenya’s vibrant capital. After a warm welcome from your guide, you’ll head out on a scenic drive toward the Masai Mara National Reserve.

As you descend into the Great Rift Valley, keep your camera ready for the stunning viewpoints.

You’ll arrive at your lodge in time for lunch before heading out on your first afternoon game drive. The Mara is famous for its big cats – lions, leopards, and cheetahs

Masai Mara

DAY 2.

Masai Mara

Migration Masai Mara

Today is all about exploring. We spend the entire day in the reserve, which allows us to head deep into the plains where the crowds are thin and the wildlife is thick.

You’ll visit the Mara River, the site of the dramatic Great Migration crossings. Even if the migration isn’t in full swing, the river is always home to massive hippos and giant Nile crocodiles. Enjoy a picnic lunch under a lone acacia tree the true safari experience.

Another Day of Discovery in the Mara

Masai Mara wildlife safari Kenya

The Mara is a vast living landscape. Today, your guide might focus on the smaller details—the colorful birds, the social habits of elephants, or tracking the footprint of a hyena.

You also have the chance to visit a Maasai village. This isn’t a museum; it’s a look at a living culture that has coexisted with predators for centuries. It’s a humbling reminder of our place in nature.

DAY 4

Crossing into the Serengeti (Isebania Border)

Tanzania luxury safari Serengeti wildlife landscape

We leave Kenya behind and head for the Tanzania border at Isebania. After the border formalities, you enter the Serengeti National Park.

The name means “Endless Plains,” and as you drive toward your camp, you’ll see why. This is a long day of travel, but the “commute” is a game drive in itself. You never know what might cross the road in front of the jeep!

Meal Plan: All meals included

DAY 5

North Serengeti

DAY 5

North Serengeti

Tanzania Migration Safari

Today, you explore one of the most remote and beautiful corners of the park. The Northern Serengeti feels wild and untouched, characterized by rolling green hills, deep valleys, and thick acacia woodlands.

Instead of flat plains, you’ll be navigating a landscape that feels much more closed in and mysterious. We’ll focus our search on the Mara River area.

This is the lifeblood of the north, where hippos grunt in the pools and massive Nile crocodiles sunbathe on the banks. If you are here during the migration season (July–October), we will spend time at the crossing points, waiting to see if the wildebeest herds gather enough courage to brave the water.

Even outside of migration, this area is home to large resident elephant herds and giraffes that graze on the plentiful trees.

Meal Plan: All meals included

DAY 6

North Serengeti to the Seronera Valley (Central)

DAY 6

North Serengeti to the Seronera Valley (Central)

Serengeti National Park Migration Safari

After a final morning exploring the northern hills, we begin our journey south toward the Central Serengeti, specifically the Seronera Valley. As we drive, you will notice the trees beginning to thin out and the hills leveling off into the endless plains the Serengeti is famous for.

This transition is where you finally encounter the famous kopjes those giant granite rock islands that rise out of the grass. We’ll stop at places like Maasai Kopjes or Simba Kopjes to scan the rocks.

These ancient boulders are nature’s watchtowers; lions and leopards love to lie on the warm stone to scan the plains for their next meal. We’ll arrive at your central camp in time for a sundowner, surrounded by the classic Lion King scenery.

DAY 7

Central Serengeti

DAY 7

Central Serengeti

Lion2-in-the-park (1)

The Central Serengeti is often called the “Big Cat Capital.” Because of the permanent water in the Seronera River, wildlife is found here year-round.

We spend the day tracking predators like cheetahs and leopards, who thrive in this open environment. Without the pressure of a “schedule,” we can stop to watch a dung beetle at work or wait for a family of hyenas to emerge from their den

After soaking in the last of the endless plains, we begin our drive toward the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. As we climb into the lush, cool highlands, the scenery changes to thick forest. You’ll arrive at your lodge in time for a relaxing dinner with a view.
